Advicenators discussion: More on Macbeth... jediforhire wrote Monday February 19 2007, 10:05 pm: 10 lines of the soliloqy? Eh, not too bad.
Then again it might help that I enjoy acting.
The quote we memorized was 17 lines, and rumor has it that were going to be getting another one soon... Shortcake22 wrote Monday February 19 2007, 10:17 pm: Yeah, it wasn't that bad. We'll probably have to memorize something from Hamlet too.
I always have to memorize things for my history class. Mayflower Compact, Declaration, Constitution.. I'm lucky I'm good at memorizing =) jediforhire wrote Monday February 19 2007, 10:27 pm: I used to stink in the elementary school plays. I would be like, "I am a zoookeeeneee and I am very good for you. I have..have..ummm...yummyness.(turns to Carrot and nudges)".
That was before I got the part of miracle max in 5th grade production of A Princess Bride. Then I was hooked.
Shortcake22 wrote Monday February 19 2007, 10:32 pm: Haha! I was the Enchanted Pumpkin in my second grade play. One of the Leads, I might add.
jediforhire wrote Monday February 19 2007, 10:34 pm: Did you just dress us, or were you actually on wheels?
I got to wear a old man wig a miracle Max.:) MikeCFT wrote Monday February 19 2007, 10:51 pm: I got thrown out of drama class one day because I wouldn't give up my argument that Hamlet was actually about a little baby pig lol. Shortcake22 wrote Monday February 19 2007, 10:57 pm: I wore this huge puffy pumpkin costume. Another girl had a similar costume, but it was all glittery. I was so jealous, because she looked all cute and she didn't even have a speaking part! It was a sad day.
Mike, haha. I have a feeling you would be pretty interesting to have around. jediforhire wrote Monday February 19 2007, 11:04 pm: HAHAHA,
Oink oink. MikeCFT wrote Monday February 19 2007, 11:05 pm: Just so you know and try and picture this- I was Maria in West Side Story AND Juliet in Romeo & Juliet LOL.
It was an all boys school and I sure as hell didn't volunteer for those parts but she liked to torture me because I tortured her lol. jediforhire wrote Monday February 19 2007, 11:08 pm: How was the Kiss?? Hehehe.
Oolala. *as I imagine this ripped 12 year old who could probobly throw me* MikeCFT wrote Monday February 19 2007, 11:13 pm: LOL
Even better- it was last year when I was a senior in high school :-P
So you know there was no kiss nor would there be under ANY circumstances lol. jediforhire wrote Monday February 19 2007, 11:19 pm: And we have a new entry for the "Hall of Awkward Moments"!!
--Romeo and Juliet Kiss in the all boys school production-- Shortcake22 wrote Monday February 19 2007, 11:21 pm: Wow. That's all I can say... lol MikeCFT wrote Monday February 19 2007, 11:25 pm: This is your forum...tell me about Haddonfield :-P jediforhire wrote Monday February 19 2007, 11:28 pm: Yes do!
Mike and I have strayed a little.... Shortcake22 wrote Tuesday February 20 2007, 5:35 pm: Hmm. Haddonfield.
It doesn't even have a stoplight. But we do have a couple stop signs. =)
MikeCFT wrote Tuesday February 20 2007, 5:38 pm: Any nearby sanitariums named "Smith's Grove" ;-)
You are in for one hell of a culture shock when you visit here, Lea. Brace yourself lol. Shortcake22 wrote Tuesday February 20 2007, 5:40 pm: Haha I know. I can handle Chicago, but after hearing you talk about NYC, I'm not so sure lol MikeCFT wrote Tuesday February 20 2007, 5:48 pm: You hear me talk about NY? Where did you put the microphone, slick? :-P
Corny I know.
Anyway; you can handle it. Besides in a few years I'll be in the NYPD and you can feel extra safe lol. Shortcake22 wrote Tuesday February 20 2007, 5:56 pm: Schweet. A friend on the inside =) jediforhire wrote Tuesday February 20 2007, 5:58 pm: Unless you pull her over...
"License and registration please,"
"Are you...MikeCFT??"
"Uhhhh" MikeCFT wrote Tuesday February 20 2007, 6:03 pm: Don't forget proof of insurance. ;-)
Step out of the vehicle please, ma'am lol. Shortcake22 wrote Tuesday February 20 2007, 6:11 pm: I hope I don't get pulled over any time soon, because I have a license, but I have no idea about the registration and proof of insurance lol....
MikeCFT wrote Tuesday February 20 2007, 6:18 pm: If you don't produce everything then the officer can arrest you :-D
Then you get sent to the "Bookings" in Manhattan where ALL arrested go for processing and you eat 2 week old bologna and Kool Aid while you wait to see a judge.
Did I scare you yet? I don't think you have too much to worry about over there in Haddonfield. Just make sure both are in the glove compartment ;-) jediforhire wrote Tuesday February 20 2007, 6:22 pm: A cop once pulled me over at midnight when I was going home from work because he thought I was drunk.
My windshield was frosted over so I couldn't see too well and strayed over the centerline. Meh, me and my impatience.
Well, I learned a lesson, and avoided a ticket. :P Shortcake22 wrote Tuesday February 20 2007, 6:25 pm: Okay, thanks =)
I barely drive my own camry. Toyota Tundra most of the winter, ford mustang in the summer. No wonder I can't keep track haha jediforhire wrote Tuesday February 20 2007, 6:28 pm: Camry, Tundra, and Mustang??
Sheesh, my Accord wagon does fine for me all seasons.
Yeah yeah, I know; it's a mommy mobile. MikeCFT wrote Tuesday February 20 2007, 6:29 pm: ah, I love Stangs.
I drive a *AHEM* 1994 Saturn myself lol. jediforhire wrote Tuesday February 20 2007, 6:29 pm: Hey, it was a free hand-me-down. :) jediforhire wrote Tuesday February 20 2007, 6:31 pm: HAHAHA.
Sorry Mike. I just pictured you in a big ol' ford 2 or 350. Shortcake22 wrote Tuesday February 20 2007, 6:32 pm: Haha I didn't mean to brag, if that's how it came off =)
My camry is a 97. It always breaks down. My family has more cars than people, so I get to drive them. I can't complain.
Yeah the Mustang is great. 2002 convertible. My only complaint is that it's white. Yuck. MikeCFT wrote Tuesday February 20 2007, 6:33 pm: So do I...then I hear the alarm clock usually.
Everyone thinks I look funny driving in it because I am a little too big for the seat lol. Shortcake22 wrote Tuesday February 20 2007, 6:34 pm: Haha!
Everyone says I'm too small for the Tundra.. jediforhire wrote Tuesday February 20 2007, 6:41 pm: I really like my dads Tundra.
And his Ford 550 dual rear wheel super duty. VROOM VROOM. Mwahaha.
Mike, just an idea, but up here a nice older truck can run for like 2-4 thousand...Dont know if you have that much, I certainly dont.
MikeCFT wrote Tuesday February 20 2007, 6:41 pm: Let's trade lol. Shortcake22 wrote Tuesday February 20 2007, 6:44 pm: Well, it's an 07, it's cobalt blue, and despite what others say, I happen to think I look quite cute driving it, so its staying with me =) MikeCFT wrote Tuesday February 20 2007, 6:50 pm: Afraid I don't have that much either, Obi Wan lol.
Fair enough, Lea...hey at least I never said you didn't look cute driving in it :-P
By the way- that 550 sounds MINT jediforhire wrote Tuesday February 20 2007, 6:52 pm: It sounds like a school bus and can tow my dads trailer and medium sized excavator.
On the road its kinda like the big boat rule. MikeCFT wrote Tuesday February 20 2007, 6:53 pm: That's man style. Very cool. Shortcake22 wrote Tuesday February 20 2007, 6:55 pm: I love big trucks. Can't help it, It's the country girl in me. jediforhire wrote Tuesday February 20 2007, 6:57 pm: YEEHAWWW Shortcake22 wrote Tuesday February 20 2007, 7:01 pm: Y'all don't be poking fun at us country folk, ya hear? MikeCFT wrote Tuesday February 20 2007, 7:02 pm: lol you guys just reminded me of Joe Dirt for some reason. jediforhire wrote Tuesday February 20 2007, 7:03 pm: Hey, I am a country folk, ya hear? jediforhire wrote Tuesday February 20 2007, 7:04 pm: But I DO NOT HAVE A MULLET. Shortcake22 wrote Tuesday February 20 2007, 7:04 pm: I don't have a mullet either MikeCFT wrote Tuesday February 20 2007, 7:06 pm: Country people are so nice, I stayed at some place in the country and they were all happy and friendly and asked where I was going and all and what is it with you people always asking about the likeliness of getting mugged here? lol
jediforhire wrote Tuesday February 20 2007, 7:09 pm: "you people" ?
Pshhh, Lea or I ever asked that?
And whats with YOU people and fake sucrose maple swill? MikeCFT wrote Tuesday February 20 2007, 7:12 pm: You're right...I should have spelled it the right way "Youse" lol.
I don't really eat syrup so I don't know about that :-P Shortcake22 wrote Tuesday February 20 2007, 7:14 pm: I'm not SUPER country, I swear.
Just somewhat lol jediforhire wrote Tuesday February 20 2007, 7:17 pm: Fair enough.
I dont really do the youse thing, I think of that more for Jerseyites.
Hmm...how did this get to Mugging and trucks from Macbeth? Shortcake22 wrote Tuesday February 20 2007, 7:17 pm: Once I visited my grandparents in Minnesota, and their syrup was so good. Seriously, I'd bathe in it.
lol okay, that's kind of weird.. But you get the picture. It was good. MikeCFT wrote Tuesday February 20 2007, 7:20 pm: It's Lea's board..we should let her get it back on track with what she wants lol.
Sorry we kinda strayed again. jediforhire wrote Tuesday February 20 2007, 7:22 pm: :X Shortcake22 wrote Tuesday February 20 2007, 7:23 pm: Nope, I'm cool with wherever the conversation goes =) jediforhire wrote Tuesday February 20 2007, 7:24 pm: Syrup!!
I made my own one year and it came out pretty good. Amazing what boiled down tree fluid can make. MikeCFT wrote Tuesday February 20 2007, 7:25 pm: Now there's a guy who knows and loves syrup. MikeCFT wrote Tuesday February 20 2007, 7:27 pm: lol this has turned into like AOL instant messenger jediforhire wrote Tuesday February 20 2007, 7:27 pm: Oh, I'm nothing.
Really. The old timers are fanatics. Shortcake22 wrote Tuesday February 20 2007, 7:28 pm: Cool! I can't really make anything. I know, girls should know how to cook and bake and all of that good stuff.
My dad tells me I'll never get a husband. lol jediforhire wrote Tuesday February 20 2007, 7:29 pm: Just find one that knows how to cook sot you dont have to! MikeCFT wrote Tuesday February 20 2007, 7:31 pm: That's real encouraging LOL.
Girls shouldn't HAVE to know how to cook; but anyone whether male or female should know a least a little something. I am definitely not one of those "I expect a hot meal on the table when I get home" kinda guys; I have no problem cooking at all lol. jediforhire wrote Tuesday February 20 2007, 7:34 pm: I like to do desserts.
And breakfast. Thats my area. MikeCFT wrote Tuesday February 20 2007, 7:35 pm: Toast doesn't count buddy ;-) Shortcake22 wrote Tuesday February 20 2007, 7:35 pm: Well I can make a few things. Nothing too complicated though lol
Yeah, it's good to know that my father has hope for me! Shortcake22 wrote Tuesday February 20 2007, 7:36 pm: A boy who makes a good breakfast is A-Okay in my book =) MikeCFT wrote Tuesday February 20 2007, 7:38 pm: I read a survey that said that 86% of the women they polled found a man with culinary skills sexy. 93% found it even sexier if he did the dishes. Shortcake22 wrote Tuesday February 20 2007, 7:39 pm: Its true jediforhire wrote Tuesday February 20 2007, 7:41 pm: You're a pal Mike.
Pancakes, bacon, eggs, syrup, and homefries. Thats eatin'.
And Mike, yes I am aware that it is nutritionally blah blah blah not good. MikeCFT wrote Tuesday February 20 2007, 7:41 pm: We (I at least) may never be millionaires, Jedi...but damn 86% of women find something about us sexy lol.
That is until they find out about the Blender Bomb....:-X jediforhire wrote Tuesday February 20 2007, 7:42 pm: YES
I have yet to try it though... jediforhire wrote Tuesday February 20 2007, 7:44 pm: And so you know, my name is Lucas.
Yes its kinda corny, the whole Luke-Jedi thing. MikeCFT wrote Tuesday February 20 2007, 7:45 pm: Please tell me your last name really is Skywalker LOL. Shortcake22 wrote Tuesday February 20 2007, 7:46 pm: I "dated" a boy named Lucas in the first grade. Everyone called us Luke Skywalker and Princess Leia.
I hated being called that, so I broke it off lol MikeCFT wrote Tuesday February 20 2007, 7:48 pm: So you know...my name is Mike :-D
Little heartbreaker even in the 1st grade, nice! lol jediforhire wrote Tuesday February 20 2007, 7:48 pm: Ok your Highness. :P Shortcake22 wrote Tuesday February 20 2007, 7:49 pm: You know it =) MikeCFT wrote Tuesday February 20 2007, 7:51 pm: My teacher had a conference with my mother when I was in the 2nd grade over a reason that I guarantee you will not guess lol. I will be back to chat (yes and tell you why) in a little bit. Shortcake22 wrote Tuesday February 20 2007, 7:55 pm: Ughhh. I suppose that will be alright..
=) jediforhire wrote Tuesday February 20 2007, 7:55 pm: Because you snuck a peak down the teachers shirt?
Wouldnt share?
no...O O..Because you were very intelligent and should have been moved up a grade?
I believe that was a "snap". MikeCFT wrote Tuesday February 20 2007, 8:54 pm: lol no...but I do have a history with asking teachers out.
Apparently in 2nd grade I wore wayyyyy too much cologne to school. Enough where she had to call my mother and ask her to have me stop wearing it lol.
Hey the girls won't like you if you don't smell good right? :-P jediforhire wrote Tuesday February 20 2007, 9:00 pm: Yep, but they wont like you either if the suffocate to death on your cologne.
MikeCFT wrote Tuesday February 20 2007, 9:02 pm: You don't think about that in the 2nd grade my man. Shortcake22 wrote Tuesday February 20 2007, 9:04 pm: Bahah

Thanks Lea..too sweet :-P
You on the other hand Luke I may have to crinkle your skull ;-)
Not before I get some syrup tho. jediforhire wrote Tuesday February 20 2007, 9:16 pm: I got that crinkle from fighting in the jedi wars. Hurt alot.
Idea-I could send out some little tasters of syrup. Maybe in the spring when its freshest. Shortcake22 wrote Tuesday February 20 2007, 9:26 pm: No problem, Mike. I try =)
jediforhire wrote Tuesday February 20 2007, 9:33 pm: So what are you guys' family like? Shortcake22 wrote Tuesday February 20 2007, 9:35 pm: I'm the only child. I like it, but I wish I had an older brother. I'm close to my parents, but I fight with them a lot. Everyone is crazy. My friends told me they have never heard a quiet conversation take place in my house lol MikeCFT wrote Tuesday February 20 2007, 9:37 pm: I am the youngest :-D Shortcake22 wrote Tuesday February 20 2007, 9:39 pm: Aw, how is it being the baby?
What about you, Lucas? jediforhire wrote Tuesday February 20 2007, 9:41 pm: Ive got a 21 year old sister, my parents are divorced and dads remarried.
