Do you have any experience dealing with narcissistic parents? I find myself needing to talk to someone who has been through this.
If not then thanks for your time!

I may be able to make a few remarks which I hope will help. Narcissism is more a spectrum than a fixed point. At normal levels it is just that. Normal and healthy. We should have a positive self-image and normal levels of self-esteem. Obviously, like most things it can go to extremes. It would be good to determine just how narcissistic are your parents. Do you notice that they are and you find it annoying? Or does it impact directly on you? Do they, for instance lack any sort of empathy towards you and your life issues? Possibly don't even seem concerned about you in the slightest at times? I do not know your age, but it is worth considering that the characteristics of narcissism will impact on you less and less as you get older, and become less dependent on parental consent, approval and approbation etc. It can be a very tricky thing to address, mostly because they will almost certainly not feel they have any issue to address!
