Wanted to know how my friend really feels about me so I asked her out
My friend and I are in a fake relationship that started from a joke. One day I asked her how long she wanted to keep it going and she said, “Till you graduate.” I said, “Okay, so after I graduate you’ll marry me right?” She said in a serious way, “Yes.” I said, “Wait what?” She said, “What?” I said, “I was only joking and you answered seriously. Did you actually mean it?” She said, “No, I was joking too.” Ever since then I was wondering how she really feels about me. So Saturday we were playing truth or dare together and I asked her how she really felt about me. She said, “I love you.” I said, “In what way?” She ignored my question so Wednesday I asked her out to get the answer out of her and she said maybe. I don’t know if I strongly admire her or like like her but I was never bi nor lesbian so I’m confused but here’s my question, if she says yes and I figured out that I only like her as a friend, what should I do? I don’t want to lose her as a friend. I wasn’t thinking it through when I asked her out. I’m a female and I’m 17. She’s a female and I’m not comfortable exploiting her age without her consent.
