Should i message my ex best friend

Question Posted Wednesday December 6 2017, 8:05 pm

17/f
So I was best friends with this girl since we were 13 until May this year. So we were best friends for about 5 years. We've always helped each other with everything like eating disorders, cutting, sexual abuse. We were always there for each other and she was the only person I trusted. She moved to a different city 2 years ago but came to visit alot and we spoke everyday and we were still best friends. She came to my city to visit in May and since she used to go to my school, she decided to come visit the school for a week. But her and two girls in my class didn't like each other and they fought and obviously the rest of my class took the two girls side because theyre all friends. They ended up being mad at me as well. My best friend and I started fighting alot over stupid things like me not going out drinking with her, and over boys and just stupid things. Then the one day we got into a fight and she ignored my last messaged and deleted my number and when I posted photos of me and my friends at my school dance (which she was suppose to go to) she unfollowed me on Instagram and deleted me on Facebook so I eventually deleted her number as well.
I really miss her though and I feel like since we aren't friends I'm struggling with everything I used to because I have no one to talk to and I don't wanna talk to anyone else. She was there from the start. It's been worse lately and all I want is to be able to speak to her again. I really wanna message her but I'm scared my class gets mad at me for being friends with her again and my mom said I can message her if I want to, but I know my mom doesn't like her because she knows about the plfight. I really don't know what to do. Should i message her? How do I handle my class? I really don't know what to do Andi feel horrible

If you think it will make you feel better then message her. I know what you're feeling and it absolutely sucks. If you want to talk to her again maybe start off just sending a simple Hey. if and when she asks who it is reply with your name and see where it takes you. If she waits more than a 2 days to reply, send another message saying something along the lines of Its Y/N. I'm sorry about how things ended between us, I still consider you a good friend and I miss what we had. With your class though... there isnt much you can do. People are going to be assholes if they wanna be assholes but try picking your "fights". If they are being mean call them out when it matters and drop it when it doesn't. You cant win them all but trying and fighting for the things that are important to you is essential to ypur sanity. Long story short, message her. Life is too short to let good people get away. Let me know if you need clarification!
