I'm in Michigan, U.S.A. My parents are in their early 80s and will soon be unable to take care of themselves. How much does Long-Term Care Insurance usually cost (ballpark) and what will it typically cover?
Additional info, added Friday October 27 2017, 10:30 am: My mom has alzheimers and my dad has tried to cope with it and has been doing so okay, but he's getting weaker with age. They had to move in with my aunt because they lost most of their money and their house in one of those phone scams. I'm thinking that Long-Term Care Insurance at their age will now be more expensive than if they bought it 40 years ago, but I don't know. That's why I'm asking..
