There are many reasons for this question. Should I assume this is related to what to put on a job application or resume in answer to the question of Special studies.

If I were to assume this is for a job application then in this area anything outside of a course curriculum for college or high school would go in this area.

These would include; Fellowships, Internships, EMT, and Paramedic courses. Any computer course you may have taken. If applying for a job which requires you to dive a company vehicle any safe driving course such as EVOC would go here. These are just some examples.
