I am a 20 year old from India. I have been in love with this guy,who is 5 years older than me, for the last six years. And he loves me too. But the thing is i am growing up, i am changing, he isn't. He wants to get engaged and make our relationship proper, and i just dont want to commit to him. We both want diffrent things out of life. The charm is fading. This man loves me immensely, he has changed so much for me and the only person he is vulnerable to is me. I know i am being a jerk for denying love. But i just dont love him anymore, we dont have mental compatibility. If ever i talk about leaving, he says 'have you been lying to me all these years? You came so close, just to quit in the end?' Help, i dont want to hurt him. I care, but I cant marry him.

But the best thing to do, is to calm yourself down. Try to get your mind off the situation. That will keep your mind a rest. Next, try to talk to him. Tell him that the way that you feel, is not the same way he feel for you. If you loved him a long time ago, I understand. You are trying to move on with your life, and try to let the past be the past. Tell him that, you want to move on and have a new life. And that you want to be with a new person. But make sure, that you keep it positive, and they not to go negative or else it will just make it worse. I hope this advice really works! Good luck!
