I understand you are a medical student. Hopefully, you'll have some advice on this. I'm on a medication that can go to toxic levels in the blood without adequate hydration or in a lot of heat. It can in fact kill in an extreme case. I've dealt with it for over a decade now.
I definitely drink a lot of water which causes too frequent urination and use sunscreen etc. However, I will be at an event for 3 days where the seats face directly into the blazing sun and the heat can be about 40 C. Aside from water and sunscreen do you have any other suggestions to feeling comfortable in this situation that I may not have considered before? Thank You.
Additional info, added Saturday June 21 2014, 11:52 am: The schedule has things broken down that
There are two days of 3 hr 45 minute direct exposure
And the other 85 minutes. I'm skipping other
Acts and there are 2 air conditioned buildings on site
And water refill stations. I think I'll do fine. Don't know
If this info that I didn't mention would change your answe
Or not. What was provided is certainly appreciated. . Want to answer more questions in the Health & Fitness category? Wear clothes made of light material and in colors that are light. I would strongly recommend you to refrain from going to this event but it's your decision. I am still only a student, not a full fledged doctor so I would not take my chances with recommending medicines and such.
