How can I stop an obbsession (possibly future addiction?)

Question Posted Wednesday June 11 2014, 1:42 pm

How to stop an obsession? I'm sorry, I can't be very specific about it... (without seeing a professional. I know that is probably what I should do but how can I stop this before it gets even worse?!)-Thanks!

It indeed would be better if you specified the obssession but still:

Distract yourself. It works in different ways when varying the person. Cleaning, organizing your stuff, or simply hanging out with Friends. What would best suit you.

Hobbies. When I'm starting to obssess over something I try to use my hobbies as distractions and get something productive out of it.

Get out, have fun, laugh, enjoy life. Its like a road, if you stop on every obssession one gets, you'll never to your goals and dreams. Cheesy, but truthful.

This is just experience talking. My advice is nowhere near profesional, so if its something very serious, I recommend you see a doctor.
