One of the worst symptoms is feeling like you can't breathe. Sometimes it helps just to go outside in the air for a few minutes . It kind of tricks your mind into thinking "okay air is available now, I can breathe!" Try distracting your self by putting on a favorite song or tv show. try focusing on an object like a seashell or smooth rock. Just put your total focus into it, what it feels like, looks like sounds like, where it might have come from, what are the names of all the colors in it. Try self talk. Tell yourself you know it is just a panic attack and you are NOT going to die, you are okay and everything is calm and peaceful. Imagine a beach with the soft waves(maybe you could invest in one of those sound machines for this purpose)look on the internet for a list of essential oils that are soothing to the mind. If you have someone with you ask them for a soothing back rub or foot rub, anything you can do to get your mind out of panic mode. Wish I had more to offer! Good luck!
