School loan consolidation

Question Posted Monday March 10 2014, 8:28 pm

Hi, I have multiple school loans and I want to know if there is a way to make them all into one loan like they do with you house and car payments. Is it possible, or no? I need to do something about my student loan bills and I don't know what else to try? Any suggestions besides this?

The simple answer to your question is yes. My son did this with his student loans though I am unaware of how he did it. I would suggest starting with contacting the bank or banks you are paying to see if they are interested in consolidating the loans or if they can point you to where you need to go to do so.

Since the student loans are a government program there may be a program that allows you to do this. Talk to each of the banks you’re paying for one may not know, and another may not want to be bothered. IF all else fails contact your congressman's office for assistance for if there is a federal program for consolidation they would know of it.
