how can i control my nerves while singing?

Question Posted Saturday June 22 2013, 10:18 am

I was told that I can sing, like when I thought I was alone in the house I sang Silent Night at the top of my lungs and my mom was sure it was the radio she didn't believe it was me until she made me sing it again. But when it comes to doing it in public I worry and I go out of tune. The most amount of people I sang on front of was about 500. But I got nervous. I'm only 13, how do I control my nerves?

I think the way to get through that is to keep doing it. Keep singing in front of people and don't over think when you are singing. And remember to enjoy yourself when you are in public singing.
You obviously have a beautiful voice so don't worry about it. It's normal to get nervous, eventually you'll become more comfortable the more you do it.
