Will fingering mess up my period?

Question Posted Wednesday March 20 2013, 7:49 pm

I'm 18, I've never had sex, but I finger myself often. I haven't had my period since Jan. 2013 and today it's March 20, 2013. I finger myself once every week. My question is, will this mess up my period?

I've never heard of masturbation disturbing a woman's menstrual cycle. A lot of things factor into menstrual cycles - as you listed. If you don't think it's any of those, consider whether you are underestimating stress in your life, whether you have been exercising more than usual, or whether you have had any major changes in your life. But regardless, you should really see your doctor about this, as it could be something more serious.
