Let's say there was someone who was diagnosed with diabetes a year ago and since then, has said that the hardest part is just not being able to live the normal life she used to have. She can no longer eat or drink much unless she has her medicine with her unless her blood sugar is low, which makes her feel worse than if it was high. She has to turn people down when they offer her something and she doesn't like explaining why. I've heard of these insulin pumps that deliver insulin to you as you need it. You wear on your belt and they have these IVs that are inserted into your stomach, so she wouldn't have to take medicine everytime she eats and will be more free to eat when she doesn't have her medicine with her. It will allow her to live a normal life and I think it's a good idea to pay for her to get one for Christmas, but what do you think?
