Missed pills early period
So I'm on my third week of pills and missed a few. I got my period sunday and it is now wednesday. i've been continuing my pills in hopes that my "period" would go away because i really don't want it for this weekend (starting thursday). unfortunately, my period has not stopped. I have stopped it before, but that was by using a brand new pack of pills during a placebo week. If i start a new pack tomorrow will it go away? is the third week of the pack different than the first week? how do i make this period stop? i dont really care if it messes up my cycle. thanks

It's not just that it messes up your cycle, it's unhealthy in general. The hormones are pretty carefully controlled, and self medicating with any medication is generally a bad idea. Even if it stops your period, since you are altering the dosages, it could make your pills ineffective. If you miss a few doses, the pills won't immediately start working again once you take them. If you are having trouble remembering to take your pills, you could ask your doctor to put you on a patch, I believe there is one that you stick on, and it lasts all month.
