My hamster is drinking a LOT of water... is this a bad thing?

13/f Hi everyone! Lately my hamster has been drinking a TON of water.... Is that a bad thing? Could he be sick? Ps my hamster is a long haired hamster or teddy bear

Is he acting weird other than drinking a lot of water? Check if his eyes and ears are clear, he doesn't have bald patches on his fur or anything, and he's getting enough food. If anything else is wrong with him, take him to a vet. If not, its good that he's drinking more water.

its actually a good thing, hamsters exercise a lot and this is why he's drinking all the water
