Guy i like my still lile his ex
I'm a sophomore in high school. I like this guy. Yesterday his best friend told me that he likes me. I find that hard to believe though. This is because two days ago his ex(which happens to be my best friend) started dating a new guy. As soon as he saw them together his whole mood completely changed. He was sad for the rest of the day. I think that if he would've been over her then seeing her with someone wouldn't have affected him. His best friend though swears that he is over her and in fact dislikes her because she cheated on him. I think that he wants to get over her but can't. I saw the pain in his eyes. Also I confessed to his best friend that I liked my crush. He then texted him and told him that I said I liked him so he should ask me out. A while later my crush saw me and simply walked by ignoring me and he hasn't contacted me. There's a party tonight and him,his best friend,his ex,his exes new boyfriend and me are suppose to go. I feel like not going to not deal with all of this. I'm so scared to be rejected and have to be heartbroken. What do I do?

You want to make sure that he is really truly over her. You don't want to be a rebound at all. It takes a strong woman to be strong even when the truth of liking someone is out there and known. I would just go the the party with your friends and people and just enjoy your time. Be strong. If something happens it happens if not it doesnt
