How can I completely wipe out my computer and restore the system?

Question Posted Saturday July 21 2012, 9:23 pm

I have windows vista. Can I get back everything the way it was like when I bought it?

I don't have a restore CD. The one we used to have you can only use it twice and its done, so we don't have a restore CD anymore. I already tried to download anti-virus stuff in safe mode. My computer won't download.

I think a virus has removed a lot of things on my computer and I can't access programs or download vitus protection. I have given up. I feel like backing up my HD and starting over would be best. How can I do this? What do I need?

Can anyone offer step by step instructions so that it is as if I have a new computer after wards?

Here are some sites that may be of assistance. It never hurts to read everything thoroughly and ensure that you follow the directions as they say. That is if either of these sites have any of the information that you seek. But I hope this helps you at least a little. Good luck
