Criminal records

Question Posted Saturday June 16 2012, 8:26 pm

i was wondering what kinds of things stay on your record.. like does shoplifting misdemeanor at age 17 stay on your record for years if you never went in to pay $20 for it to be annulled? or would you still need to go in to remove the record officially. if you did have it taken off your record, would it be completely erased?

say they asked for your name when you call in for the police, do they keep record of that? or say the police were called on you once before you were an adult and had a report of harassment filed on you but no action was taken against you... it was just for reports, would that still be there? even if it's irrelevant now?

what sorts of things do they keep on criminal records?

please only informative answers only.

Whatever offence you do, no matter how "small" or "Big" it is, if the police catch you or suspect you it goes on somekind of record whether you are sentenced to jail/community service/fine or not.
It does stay there for years, of course looking back on previous crimes, people will consider your age, status or what drove you to do it... (unless its a murder or a sex offence, then you;ve got no chance of it being "Forgotten" or "Forgiven")
