Question Posted Sunday June 3 2012, 11:43 pm

I know it has to do with conception trouble but what is the definition of impotence really? Does it mean you can NEVER have babies or you are just having trouble for a while?

another term and probably the more correct term is "Erectile Dysfunction". The inability to gain or substain an erection for the purpose of intercourse.

Impotence is chronic inability to attain or sustain an erection for the performance of a sexual act. It doesn't mean that you can't have children it just means that you have difficulty getting your penis erect to engage in the physical act of 'making babies'. The word 'infertile' is the term used for when you can't have children or have a really low chance of having children.

Hope this helps.
