Well first of all have you told him you want to be more than friends and why would you wantto be away from him if I like a guy I would love to be with him instead of him not even paying attention to me. He might have a gf so if he does wait till she breaks his heart an be the friend he needs at the time handheld will like you more than he probilly does now

Ive been this situation many of times. It sucks very much. And there isn't a real answer as to get away from it. All you can do, is learn to cope with it.
But think of it this way. Would you rather not have him in your life at all?? Or at least have him in your life as your friend?
