At what age do you think is appropriate to wear Tampons?

Question Posted Sunday April 15 2012, 12:01 pm

I'm 15. And I hate pads. My stepmom and I don't get along and I live with my dad so that is kind of awkward to talk to him.. what do I do?

I think 15 is old enough to start using tampons.
If I were you, I would just go to the local CVS/Riteaid/Walgreens whatever's near you and buy a box, rather than ask. But that's just me personally, if you do want to talk to them I'd go with the step mom because think about it..dad's aren't KNOWLEDGEABLE in that area so it's not like he's got pointers haha you know?

Honestly whenever you want to and you have your period, go for it!

There are those weird relatives out there who beleive that if you wear a tampon than you are no longer a virgin. hey are wrong and so I would avoid talking to a family member and would rather talk to a friend or a friend's friend.

I do not think there is ANYTHING your dad can do you help you with this so I wouldn't even mention it to him.

I would try Kotex-U first. They are real easy to use and I which I tried that brand first. Being an eco-friendly person, I tried to use the cardboard applicaters for 5 months before i gave up. Still can't use them. Using tampons is great because with a pad you always feel like you peed in your pants and you're just sitting and walking around with it still on! Yuck!

I wish you best of luck! And if you don't succeed, try and try again!
