Do guys think it's weird when girls stare into their eyes and smile a lot

This is how I act around my crush! And I can't help but stare into his eyes because his eyes are so dreamy and beautiful, and make me feel really good. I just love looking at his eyes, and we tend to have longer eye contact than normal, and I'm usually umcomfortable about too much eye contact to pretty much everyone, but not with him.
I also act a lot more polite and with more ettiquete than I normally would, because, well, I don't want to give off a bad impression or anything, but I think I come across as looking more innocent than I actually am. But we have a similar, witty sense of humor, and he often tries to catch my attention during class, by just making weird sounds or trying to make me laugh in a goofy way. he's gently teased me a few times, too, over pretty much nothing!
I just feel drawn to him like a magnet (to put it in PG terms, if you know what I mean), and I feel like we could really connect if I got to know him better, but I don't know how to ask for his number or anything like that, without it appearing like I'm obviously "coming on" to him.
Like right now I feel like we're strong acqaintances, but I don't know how to tell if he likes me back, too, more than a friend. I only talk to him in that one class, cause we sit near each other, and we're both sort of loners, so idk if that plays a part in why he doesn't talk to others around much. idk. but when i walk in at the beginning of class he always diverts his attention to me, which has made have to dress better if he's scrutinizing over what i'm wearing and what not!
