This is actually a pretty interesting question. Prior to the '90s it was expected and North American parents didn't question doctors to have baby boys circumcised.

You grew up with boys who were uncircumcised and never saw anyone who was circumcised. You NEED to tell him this, that you find it uncomfortable and haven't a clue what to do. Just be honest about it.

It will save embarrassment and he'll understand. He's the expert on his body and what he enjoys so it's better to ask him what to do than run into a bad situation. You can't hurt him but he can become uncomfortable otherwise.

We can't give you any info bordering technique or how-to on this site so it's best to talk to him. Don't want to sound dense but not sure what your HHS acronym stands for. Perhaps others might not know either.
