what to do to recover my lost document on my mac

how can i get back my document on my mac? just now i found my document lost and i can not find it anywhere on my mac! anyway can help me ? manythanks!

Did you purchase Apple Care? If so call them first because they give you tech support for 3 years. If you don't have that click on the hard drive icon and search by home folder, documents, recycled folder and in pages by whatever you called it. If you saved it it's probably on your computer and saved to a different place.
