Even if there are no visible scars, there are ones internally that may cause you problems later on in life, such as if you have your own children, you may end up doing the same thing. If you speak with a counselor, they are required to keep it private. If the abuse gets too much that you can't handle it anymore, perhaps get a recorder, and record several of the instances that she yells and calls you these names. Then you'll be able to get any of the help you need. If you should go about recording these, do not let her know, and immediately give it to your school counselor, or teacher for safe keeping, and of course, teachers and other school staff will no doubt help you. IE; by contacting local social services, which is not always bad, you shouldn't be put into a home, and if you are, it won't be for long, so long as your mother complies with the orders she was given, such as taking anger management and so forth. Also, you can try talking with her, letting her know how her yelling and name calling is effecting you. No abuse, regardless of whether it is physical or emotional, should be accepted. If someone is hurting you either way, you get help. Otherwise you may end up with severe depression and may end up hurting yourself. And your life is already so short, you don't want to shorten it anymore that it already is. Be strong, get help. [ Rena-Chan's advice column | Ask Rena-Chan A Question ]
