strep throat from oral?
So a couple of days ago i hooked up with this boy and gave him oral. the day after i started to have a little sore throat but nothing big. As the days went on i started feeling worse and worse and yesterday i had the chills, a fever the whole deal. This morning i woke up and i felt like something was stuck in the back of my throat and the little thing that hangs down (it has a name i forget it) was so swollen it was taking up most of my throat. So i went to the doctors and i have strep. Ive NEVER had strep before and ive been sick plenty of times. My mom even said shes never seen my throat this bad. So my question is do you think its from giving oral or it's just a coincidence? Also the kid i hooked up with has gotten with a lot of girls and used to hook up with a girl who has herpes. gross but i didn't find that out until after. Do you think i could have a std?

No, you don't have an STD. The strand of virus that causes strep throat is different than the viruses or bacteria that result in an STD. If your doctor specifically found the streptococcal virus present, then it is not an STD causing your sore throat. It's just a coincidence.
