the pill works by makeing your boddy think you are pregnant, it does this by increaceing the oestrogen level of a persons boddy. it is also the amount of this hormone that controals wen you menstorate. it is lightly that by missing pills your hormone balence isn't on track to keap your cycle on track. you should talk to a doctor not just because of this but a prolonged pereod could indicate aneamea.

I'm understanding you have missed your birth control pill(s) dosage 5 separate times? If so, you do understand, it is a week of taking your pills to ensure they are working, right? So say, you took your pill on the 1st-5th, but then you forget, that means they have not yet taken effect. And condoms are not always 100%. Just like most birth control supplements, they do have a small failure rate. Also, most birth control pills help regulate your period. So not properly taking your pills can also result in an erratic and irregular period. If you are fearing the possibility of pregnancy, I would go to the doctors to get a blood test (this is the fastest way to tell if you are pregnant, as with store bought pregnancy tests, you typically have to wait so many days or weeks. If it turns out you are not pregnant, and you have problems remembering to take your medications, (I forget A LOT as well) you can do what I do. Where ever you go when you first wake up, ie bathroom, kitchen, or where ever, put a note up somewhere you know you will look. A reminder, saying "Take pill etc etc." So you do not forget to take it. It is most important (Especially to ensure you have effective birth control) to take them the same time each day.

Added - I understand how you feel. It can be very worrisome. I suggest pay VERY CLOSE attention to your body. If your body feels strange in any way, compared to how it would usually feel when you are due for your monthly visitor, then I would immediately go and get checked. As for when your period should arrive, I can't say when it will. I have, from experience, noticed though that some birth control pills have you bleeding for so long and eventually you end up missing a couple periods. I can't remember the name of the pills I was on, but I ended up bleeding a full month, and didn't have my period for 6 months. If you cannot afford a doctor bill, the dollar store carries 1$ Pregnancy tests that are reliable.
