tampon trouble
Im a 19 year old female and im struggling with using a tampon. I have had sex, and can guide my finger, however when it comes to a tampon and inserting one... i'm hopeless! i've gotten to that point where i need to rely on tampons, i want to be able to not be limited because i cant use a tampon whilst on my period.
I follow the directions on the packaging and the suggested positions and everything, and even used slim tampons designed for first time use....and i just cannot do it. I dont understand when i can fit a penis and my finger, yet as soon as i even start to put the tampon in, it begins to expand and i cant put it in further, i know its not in far enough because the bottom is still visible and i know its suposed to be a finger length deep inside.
Ive gone through several tampons trying to sucessfully insert one. and sometimes they have been painful trying to get out because they've already absorbed liquad and are huge. I dont know what to do :( i really want to be able to use them, so i can go swimming with my boyfriend, not have the uncomfortableness of a pad, be able to have one handy in my handbag more discreetly then a pad etc etc.

this is going to sound so weird, but it works for me. i used to have a lot of trouble using those darn things too. what i do is i just lay on my back on the bed as if i were about to have sex (you really need to relax). i know it sounds strange, but it's honestly the best position and it helps relax you. just insert the tampon slowly and release it. if you did it right, you shouldn't be able to feel much of it in you at all. i hope i helped. <3

i had the same trouble. you just need to use small ones and make sure you shove the thing all the way in there before taking the plastiv thing out.
