Falling too hard, too fast? How do I control this?

Question Posted Saturday August 27 2011, 10:05 am

Does anyone have any advice for falling too hard too fast? I always think I like some guy really quickly and totally obsess over him and tell myself I'm in love when I'm really not. I just don't know how to control it. Any advice?

Oh wow I am like you!
I think we are in love with the idea of being in love...
and when we find that the other person is not like what we expect we find out it is not love...
so just try to get a grip on reality.
know what you want, be observant on what is the real deal, do not give yourself or too much information to the other person... just dont act crazy ...
try to be busy with something or distract your emotions... actually this advice column is therapy for me because I realize that I can help other people so I wont obsess on my life..
get a hobby or try a new sport.. fill up the idle time you have...
hope that helps.. you will be alright, love is an emotion and its normal. You just gotta control it if it controls your life and youre not thinking straight anymore! :)
