How can I ask my parents about BirthControl?
[ ] Want to answer more questions in the Sexual Health and Reproduction category? Maybe give some free advice about: Birth Control Pills?
Hah well you have the option of getting it yourself if you have some way to get around and go to planned parenthood or your local family clinc. But if you can't it would help to talk to your mom if you haven't already had the talk you will probally have to endure it but don't laugh or that might make it worse. But if your mom thinks your too young (PS I don't know how old you R) tell her it's just so if it does happen I will be okay I mean what if we can't we I want it and I'm old enough.
Hope that helps

hahah I didn't even ask my parents. I just went to planned parenthood and got it myself. Its less embarrassing and easier for me because then I wouldn't need "the talk". Plus I got it for free :)
But if you really want to talk to your parents about it, then you just have to be honest with them. Tell them why you want to get it. Name off the benefits of it (lighter periods, wont get pregnant, controls acne, etc). tell them how badly you want to get it.
Just realize, its not an easy topic. The topic of Birth Control is the equivalent of the topic of sex. You and your parents may have different points of views on the topic. So if you decide to ask them about it, be prepared for some kind of argument or discussion.
