lovealways1221 answered Monday July 25 2011, 3:14 pm: hahah I didn't even ask my parents. I just went to planned parenthood and got it myself. Its less embarrassing and easier for me because then I wouldn't need "the talk". Plus I got it for free :)
But if you really want to talk to your parents about it, then you just have to be honest with them. Tell them why you want to get it. Name off the benefits of it (lighter periods, wont get pregnant, controls acne, etc). tell them how badly you want to get it.
Just realize, its not an easy topic. The topic of Birth Control is the equivalent of the topic of sex. You and your parents may have different points of views on the topic. So if you decide to ask them about it, be prepared for some kind of argument or discussion.
