How long does it take to die of alcohol poisoning?
Do you have to binge drink for like months at a time and then you die of alcohol poisoning or Can you die from just sitting down and chugging a bottle of whiskey in one sitting?
Does it take awhile or is it quick?

- 12 ounces of beer
- 5 ounces of wine
- 1.5 ounces of 40 proof liquor
After you stop drinking, your BAC continues to rise for a time. It takes awhile for it to be absorbed into your system.
EDIT: I edited this answer to clarify what BAC stood for. Sorry for the confusion - it's been used so much in my classes for years, I forgot that it actually is a somewhat uncommon abbreviation. (End edit)
In the United States the legal drinking age is 21. In most of the world it is 18. Be responsible and PLEASE don't buy into the mindset that blacking out and/or getting sent to the hospital is a goal someone needs to reach when drinking. It's wicked dangerous habit, pointless, and will give you a nasty hangover at best, a death certificate at worst. Just don't do it.
Also, according to your profile, you're 13. So, you shouldn't really be drinking. Not trying to sound like your mom here, just stating a fact that you shouldn't be doing illegal things ;)
