Resource area for advisers

Question Posted Saturday July 2 2011, 9:31 am

In your answer to "I'm a stammering boy, please help me", you offered to help him find a therapist. I have a resource for him to get in contact with. It is The National Stutters Foundation. I am giving him the links to the areas he should view.

I am wondering if there is not away for you to put an area on here. Where we the advisers can list these organizations that we know of such as this one as well as RAINN, Boys Town and others for the other advisers to reference and use. I think we all have resources that we use and if we can share them with one another, we can be more helpful to those that need this type of help.

The resource listing is a good idea. In this case you gave the man from India a link to a list of US states to find help. ;-)

Please read this:

... then edit your answer to point to the links for India. Sadly, none of the links on the American site are anywhere near where he lives in India. This is why I tried to get a list that dealt with his home city.

Also, when you are editing the link, please correct the format of the URL so that it no longer appears as a broken link.

For now, you can do what others have done, which is use their column bio and their forum for their resource referrals.
