Is It Possible?

Question Posted Friday July 1 2011, 3:00 am

My name is Amanda, and I have strong feelings for a guy I have known for almost five years. We were dating four years ago and we fell apart. It was all my fault and I know that. We were working on being together and his ex came back and wanted to be with him again. She cheated on him and lied to him. He told me and when I asked him what he was going to do he said that he was not sure. That hurt a lot because I had never done anything to betray him and he was thinking about choosing her. So I slept with his best friend. Now four years later I still want him and he is with someone else. We are friends but he can not trust me like that again. It kills me to see him with someoen else because I would give anything for him to be with me again. We live two states away now but I want to try to make it work. He is not interested in a long-distance relationship. What can I do? Is there any way that we can make any kind of relationship work? Is it just too broken to fix?

There's no way to make this relationship work. The fact that you're multiple states away and he's (for good reason, believe me) not interested in something long distance is reason enough for it not to work. The additional bullshit of you sleeping with his best friend and your history together means there's basically zero chance of a fulfilling relationship developing right now. Maybe a few years from now, but not right at this moment.

EDIT:

If you took that as judgement or a guilt trip, then you're especially not ready for any type of relationship.
