leg strength confusion Yesterday my dad and I went into the backyard so I could practice shooting goals for soccer. I'm left footed so I mainly took shots with my left foot but I tried to do some shots with my right foot. My legs were a little 'bit tired afterwords. Today I went for a half mile run. Afterwards I tried one legged squats. To my surprise, one legged squats were much easier for me with my right leg and for my left leg, one legged squats were extremely difficult. But I'm left footed, my left foot is my dominant foot, so why was it easier on my right leg for one legged squats? Is my right leg for some reason stronger than my left, dominant leg? Or is my left leg just more tired from taking more shots on goal yesterday?

short answer: you use different muscles for different exercises, so even though you were kicking with your left foot, your right leg was supporting you, so your right quadricep (thigh muscle) was getting stronger. ]
