Selling Photos Online Hello, I am 16 year old male and I have a passion for photography. I am looking to try to sell some of my work online. I was looking at some of the major stock photo websites but I need some help. Should I try to apply to one of those big sites that reviews your work, or a less know site that does not. Or should I try to get my own domain and sell it myself through my own site. If I did the third option how would I get people to come to my site. Basically what I am looking for guidance on is which option is the best and then how to go about doing that option (for example how would I get my photos on one of those sites or how would I make my own site).

The best way to start is how I started when I was 16. Join iStockPhoto or Shutterstock, get your parents to sign the under-18s form, and upload stock photos. There isn't much you can do at this age to do with selling photos.
In terms of getting known, join sites like Deviantart and Flickr, and work your way up. There is no easy way to get known, especially when there are brilliant photographers out there too. ]
