blast to the past dance

we are having a blast from the past dance and i've decided to dress from the 50's and I wanted to know what people in the 50's wore? what should I wear. I know they wore poodle skirts but everybody is probally going to wear poodle skirts and I want to be different.

Deepending how much you want to spend,. Sears has those old shows the black and white ones in a heel style
They kind of look like this one but more black in the middle,. and smaller heel
