Song That Describes Us ?

I've been looking for a song that describes me & my "friend". . .
we've been messing around for at least 3 & 1/2 years now & we've been through A LOT & we will always be there for each other . . but I would like to have him listen to a song that would tell him I like/love him a lot but I dont want to keep waiting around forever for something to happen between us because I want to be with him now... yet I'll always be there for him no matter what..
If that makes any sense at all lol
It can be any type of genre, but preferably something r&b, rap, or rock
any help is appreciated greatly ! (:

something kind of like Marianas Trench-All To Myself but something that says I'm not trying to control you though.. Yet the feelings I have are basically like Edwards to Bella (Twilight-Bella's Lullaby)

Or All In- Lifehouse, which pretty much covers it except for the fact that it says 'there's no breaking up this time' cause we have never been an official couple. . .

& kind of like Thompson Square- Are You Gonna Kiss Me Or Not; Clay Walker- Fall; but not as mushy gushy . . .

& kind of like Tupac- I'd Rather Be Your Nigga, but more like I want to be your main girl. . .

Something like I Gotta Thang For Ya- Trina & Keyshia Cole or Just So You Know- Jesse McCartney

Basically something that says I care about you, & I love you, & I want to be the girl you come home to at night, yet I don't really care & I'm not trying to control you or make you ask you me out..

i had someone exactly like this in my life and this is reeeally corny but everytime i heard that song when i look at you by miley cyrus, it made me think of him because he was the one always there for me through everything and even though we werent technically together we both knew we loved eachother and who to "look at" when we needed something
