marinemom24 answered Tuesday February 15 2011, 10:50 am:
When you first begin taking birth control it very often causes some funky things to go on with your body. Afterall, they are affecting and adjusting your hormones. A discharge instead of a regular period can often be a side affect of taking the pill. Most of the time it's a positive side affect since you don't have to go thru the usual bleeding for a few days every month. However, if you're concerned I'd make an appointment with your Doc to get an opinion. Call his/her nurse and speak with her over the phone and explain the symptoms. This should put your mind at ease. Hope this helps a bit!
