Should I tell her why I don't want to hang out, or make up an excuse?

Question Posted Sunday February 6 2011, 5:54 pm

i have this "friend" and she's away at college, and whenever she comes home she asks me to hangout with her. and she never wants to come to my house. i would sometimes tell her look i am always going to your house, why don't you come over, and she'll make up some lame excuse. whenever i go to her house she just sits on her laptop. and she's rude to me in front of her church friends too. she'll insult me in front of them, or just ignore me. Before she left though she asked me to hangout and i said i was busy. i mean she tries to use me, and i am tired of her. i tell her and she acts like she does nothing wrong. i know i can't change her but it's getting ridiculous. she'll tell me she wants to do my eyebrows and then she messes them up, and that i can't workout in my shoes, like a million times. later on at the cafe that's in the gym she wanted me to buy her a drink and i didn't because she was making me mad, then she got mad. i mean she just uses me, which is why i stop hanging out with her. and since she's left we don't even talk anymore. she said she'd text me when she comes back, but she hasn't. and she doesn't really tell me when she comes home. but i mean she wants everything her way. am i doing the right thing by not hanging out with her? i don't have many other friends. but i rather be alone then hang out with her. we haven't talked much but eventually she'll ask me why we never hangout anymore. should i just keep saying i am busy or should i tell her this: look whenever we hangout there's always a fight, because you always want everything your way, and i am tired of you walking all over me. i mean you always want me to come over to your house, you never come to my house. and then you try to change the way i look, because i wouldn't convert to your religion. well my religion, how i look, what i wear, and what i do is none of your business.if your so embarrassed by what i wear, then go be friends with someone else, because i am done with you, because your not my subordinate.
