Every time I get my period my mom encourages me to drink a lot of water, like more than usual. She said water helps to get the period over faster and helps to reduce cramping during your period. I think it sounds kind of stupid because water is in like everything already. Just kind of curious here thought if she's right. Is it really good to drink a lot of water when you're on your period?
hitler_the_goat answered Thursday January 6 2011, 5:35 pm: its not stupid. proper hydration in any situation is key to survival. sure, your food may have water in it, but not enough to keep you hydrated. headaches and cramps can be caused by dehydration. Camelback has a pretty good slogan: Hydrate, or Die. though yes, they are making a ton off of keeping soldiers hydrated, its still something good to live by. now drink water.
