iPod Vs. mp3 player for his birthday

Question Posted Wednesday November 17 2010, 1:59 am

my boyfriend is 21, and his birthday is in a few weeks. he suggested that he would like an ipod for his birthday but i told him i didnt really have the money for one like mine, i have the 5th gen nano, but he said the shuffle would be perfectly fine since they're only about $40. i'm not a fan of the shuffle myself since it doesn't have a screen. that just seems like it'd be a pain, so i was looking online and came across the Phillips Vibe. has anyone used this mp3 player and liked it? or have the shuffle and dont mind not having a screen? i feel like i personally would want a screen just to make it easier, but the shuffle or the vibe would be more in my price range. my only concern with the vibe is that he is not too technology savvy, so i would probably be helping him download music and put it on the player, but i have never used anything other than itunes and wouldnt even know where to start. is the vibe compatible with itunes? i obviously want to get him something he will use and enjoy, so any advice or other suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

I would get him the shuffle. If that's what he said he would be fine with than that is what you should get him. It shouldn't matter that you don't like if it doesn't have a screen because this is a present for HIM, remember. If it doesn't bother him, than don't let it bother you.
