Okay I am 15/f and within the past few months I have gotten several charlie horses all on my upper right thigh I guess but now I get them in the back of my ankle and it's so painful for the couple minutes it lasts... but what's going on??? I haven't done anything different then usual I'm not an athlete, I just walk everyday
Sometimes it's a sign you're not getting proper nutrition. I often hear it happens when you're not getting enough potassium (like from bananas) or not enough water.
Sometimes even if you sleep funny, or keep one position for a long time then move, muscles can cramp. If it seems to get worse I would talk to a doctor, but for right now you should probably just stretch it out, rub it, walk it off. [ Memorex's advice column | Ask Memorex A Question ]

The doctor would give you creams and make it less painful, check with your family doctor or something.
