There are tons of things you can say at a funeral that are acceptable. Sometimes all a person wants to know if that you're there for them or that you're not taking the person's loss easily either. Here are a few basic lines you can say to family members, friends, and other loved ones as a funeral:
I am so sorry for your loss. This really hit me hard.
We just to remind ourselves that he/she is in a better place now.
I know this is hard on everyone here and I just want to let you know that if you need an ear to listen or a should to cry on then I am absolutely, one-hundred percent here for you.
I know this is such a great tragedy but we can get through this loss together.
NAME was really a good person and I'm so glad we got the opportunity to spend time with him/her here on Earth. ]
