some discomfort in my throat and constantly feeling the need to clear it.
i've had strep throat about 5 times, but that was back in 1st-4th grade. i haven't since then. does this sound like strep throat or just the common cold symptoms?
Additional info, added Friday October 15 2010, 5:48 pm: also, if this is just a regular sore throat, what are some things i can do to help the discomfort i'm feeling? like liquids i can drink, foods i can eat, stuff like that. thanks. Strep is easy to recognize because your tonsils will swell up and develop white spots on them. You'll also see worse symptoms like dizziness, fatigue and fever.
I basically live on popsicles, sorbet, herbal tea and NeoCitran (Theraflu if you're American) when I have a sore throat. Stick to soft foods like applesauce, soup and the like. Stay away from anything sugary or carbonated. [ NinjaNeer's advice column | Ask NinjaNeer A Question ]
