Finding a hobby or a project

Question Posted Wednesday October 6 2010, 9:31 pm

Hello my husband is going to be deploying to Afghanistan the end of this month and will be gone for a year. I will be working a lot while he is gone but when i come home i want to start a project or have a hobby to keep me busy. I'm not really into reading or doing anything with knitting. So please dont suggest anything like that. But any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! I do rate :)

Are you into arts?
Make an album for him. Or...
I had a friend that I knew was leaving for Afghanistan as well, and I made him an altered book (basically you take any book, and decorate it. i painted over the pages, added pictures, fake flower pedals, movie tickets from the last movie we saw etc.) it's a very personal gift and there are tons of ideas online.

Do you like sports?
take some sports classes

Get a group of friends and have a "girls night out"
There are many things you can do to keep you busy, and good luck! I wish you the best!
