I'm getting a laptop..
My moms friend like refurbishes laptops and can get me one for 250 dillards, any kind I want. I like to play sims and it takes up a lot of memory. Is there any special
laptops I should ask for? It will also be used for just surfin the web (facebook mainly, sometimes YouTube, research for school) I hardly use the Internet and will mainly for the game. Anything you think I should request? Any specific brands? Any brands you don't reccommend?

I think what you're looking for is processor speed and cache memory rather than general hard drive capacity.
In simple terms, just pay special attention to the CPU speed which is read as e.g. 2.6Ghz. This is basically the brain of the computer. The higher the the speed, the faster it thinks.
I believe some of the best brands for laptops are Sony, HP, and Dell though it is hard to pinpoint a 'bad' brand since tastes are subjective and experiences vary. Additionally, if you're going for speed I further recommend Sony.
