Missing Skin Pigment? This morning when I was looking in the mirror I noticed a little round spot which was white with a little darker on one side of it on my upper arm(I'm not that dark to begin with). And so when my family member went to the doctor this morning, I decided to go too to ask about what I saw. She said that it could either be fungis or not eating enough carrots and mellons. When I got home
I decided to do a little research. What I found was people saying that they have something called with a V I can't really remember. But I don't really think I have that...and I also searched that I need more Melanin? I remember the lady saying what I needed more of but that I don't remember the exact word so I'm thinking Melanin is what it is, right? If so what type of foods have that and how much of it should I eat? She told me to look out for it for the next 7 days. Thank you!

You may have vitiligo. Vitiligo is a disorder where your skin loses it's pigment in some areas. I am 13, and found that I had it (on my face) when I was about 10-11 years old. Don't worry, it's not serious. But, you may want to ask a dermatologist about it. I use this ointment called Protopic, and my vitiligo has definetly reduced in size. ]
