i've heard of the term ""yeast infection"" but, what is it? i know it a infection that a girl can get. please help me

yeast infection usually occurs in warm, moist parts of the body. when they are caused its a infection in the vagina. many girls find yeast infection tend to show up right before they get their periods. the symptoms of yeast infections is itching, redness and swelling of the outside of the vagina.
