i know it's from the same company, and says new look, but i feel like the newer one in the bronze bottle turned me a little orange. is that possible for outside tanning lotion?

Essentially, yes. Same brand, both mild sunscreen, both have added oils to help the tanning process. I've used them before. If you use them, be careful - you can still burn.
